My Junior Year Experience

This year of 2018-2019 I have grown a lot as a student, I learned many new things and was able to improve in my reading, writing, and critical thinking, thanks to APLC, thought by Ms. Henry. Before this class honestly I did not enjoy reading I only read by force or when I read the Bible, but now I have learned to read for fun at least the books I enjoy. One great book I read this year was, Brave New World. The book has many predictions about the future maybe that is currently happening at this moment. I enjoyed many other books such as, Things fall Apart, Animal Farm,  and 1984. All these books were great books they all had something really deep and can be relatable with our current daily life today.

My writing was improved because of something we had and you will have called blogging, it is actually a really fun way to write and you get feedback from classmates maybe even other people from other schools. That is how I mainly improved in my writing. My experience with the blogging was actually very interesting I never complained about blogging because, the writing was not boring we talked about how our month went and important topics around the world. My writing was also improved with the writing assignment, everything that you will learn in class will be shown in the summer assignment such what to use when you write and how to write properly, and using different words to not sound repetitive.

Finally I improved in my critical thinking probably what I needed help in most other than writing. I was able to improve with my critical thinking with, the AP practice that we had almost everyday since the third quarter, it helps you think and read faster than you ever thought you could, it also helps you not have to waste time in certain subjects when reading. Although so far I have not taken the AP test I am pretty confident I will do good on the test thanks to Ms. Henry.  Overall she is a great teacher and she is very connected with her students and really wants us to succeed in life as a student and a person.
