Benevolent; sympathetic; tolerant; generous; caring; well meaning, Benevolent sounds like an extraordinary word, a word that would go with high named or high class people. But the word Benevolent can said to the most humble person. If I had to describe one person as Benevolent it would be my cousin Alexis, he was generous; caring; well meaning. Alexis was an all around magnificent person. Alexis was the type of person who saw; did; accomplished. When he set a goal he would accomplish it

Alexis heavily influenced the way I do certain things, as well as some activities/hobbies that I picked up from him. Some activities that I picked up from him were playing an instrument, he played the drums, I play the bass, and know a little on the drums. The only reason I didn’t play the drums as well was, because I did not want to be compared to him because I felt like that is his legacy and I respect that. I also picked up, playing with BB guns, skating, Mountain biking, Outside person, family oriented. I remember when I started playing for my church my grandmother told me I fit in that environment so quick and so well like Alexis. What my grandmother told me stuck with me because I always wanted to be like him since I was little, and when she said that I, felt like my cousin was proud of what I was doing.

Alexis passed away on July, 6, 2010, He was with his family making them laugh what he was best at, what everyone loved him for. They were arriving home from San diego on July fourth, they were around ten minutes away from their house when a truck ran into them. The day they  pronounced Alexis dead I, was devastated, devastated because he had left so many things behind. Later on I realized he never really left our family we always talk about him especially on my birthday, Alexis and I shared the same birthday. I did not realize that I was following his steps until the day my grandmother told me I am like him, that day I cried because, I was angry for along time for many reasons. Only someone that can be described as generous; caring; well meaning, could have brought so much joy to our family,  Only someone that can be described as generous; caring; well meaning, could have made me the person I am today, Alexis, saw, set the goal, accomplished, Alexis was a benevolent human being.
